Landisville ITF W100 champion McCartney Kessler has become the 14th player to break the Top 100 for the first time in 2024.

After ending 2023 with her first WTA 125 title in Montevideo, Renata Zarazua became the second Mexican player ever (following Angelica Gavaldon) to break the Top 100 on Jan. 8.

Maria Timofeeva, 20, entered the Top 100 on Jan. 29 after reaching the Australian Open fourth round as a qualifier (defeating Caroline Wozniacki and Beatriz Haddad Maia) in just her third tour-level main draw.

After winning 15 ITF titles across 2022 and 2023, Brenda Fruhvirtova cracked the Top 100 on Jan. 29 after the 16-year-old Czech made the second round of the Australian Open as a qualifier.

Arina Rodionova became the oldest player ever, at 34 years and 52 days, to break the Top 100 for the first time on Feb. 5. The Australian achieved the feat after reaching the Hua Hin quarterfinals.

Erika Andreeva, 19, entered the Top 100 on Feb. 19 after qualifying and reaching the second round in Doha. Andreeva, the older sister of 16-year-old Mirra, was also a two-time WTA 125 finalist in 2023, in Rouen and Andorra.

Maria Lourdes Carle, 24, became the sixth Argentinian to be ranked inside the Top 100 this century on Mar. 4. Carle had compiled a 22-6 record over the previous four months, culminating in a semifinal run at the Puerto Vallarta 125.

Hailey Baptiste broke into the Top 100 on Mar. 18 after qualifying and reaching the second round of Indian Wells, following a semifinal run at the Puerto Vallarta 125. The 22-year-old American had been ranked No.280 in April 2023.

Jessica Bouzas Maneiro entered the Top 100 on Apr. 15 after reaching the Zaragoza ITF W100 final. The 21-year-old Spaniard won her first WTA 125 title three weeks previously in Antalya, and her 2024 record stands at 27-7.

Julia Riera, 21, became the second Argentinian to crack the Top 100 in 2024 on Apr. 22 after winning the Chiasso ITF W75. Riera, a semifinalist at Rabat 2023, had been ranked No.252 one year previously.

Moyuka Uchijima rocketed into the Top 100 on May 20 on the back of a 15-match winning streak encompassing the Gifu ITF W100, Trnava ITF W75 and Madrid ITF W100 titles. The 22-year-old Japanese player had previously peaked at No.104 in Nov. 2022.

Slovakia's Rebecca Sramkova, 27, entered the Top 100 on May 20 after reaching the fourth round of Rome as a qualifier, upsetting Katie Boulter and Sofia Kenin before falling to Jelena Ostapenko in a third-set tiebreak.

Lulu Sun, 23, became the fifth New Zealander to reach the Top 100 (and first since Marina Erakovic in 2015) on Jul. 15 after reaching the Wimbledon quarterfinals as a qualifier.

Having spent 20 weeks between No.101 and No.110 in 2022, France's Chloe Paquet finally broke the Top 100 on Jul. 29 after making the Iasi semifinals. The 30-year-old had also reached the Saint-Malo 125 final and the Roland Garros third round in 2024.

University of Florida alumna McCartney Kessler, 25, entered the Top 100 on Aug. 12 after winning the Landisville ITF W100. In February, the American had also captured her first WTA 125 title in Puerto Vallarta.
